About Read McCarty, Our Founder & CEO
Read McCarty started Sandbox Medical in 2009 to continue his passion for innovating medical products for kids. Read also was the founder and former CEO of Hawaii Medical, LLC and Children's Medical Ventures, Inc. At Children's Medical, Read developed and introduced the Soothie® Pacifier. Read dedicated both companies to improving the health care of children and making the practice of developmentally supportive, family centered care the standard of care in the NICU.
